DAS has joined the Managing General Agents Association

Legal expenses and assistance insurer DAS has joined the Managing General Agents Association (MGAA) as an Insurer Member.  The move was approved by the MGAA Board earlier this month.

DAS already had a longstanding relationship with MGAA through their previous membership as Amicus Legal, a small Managing General Agent (MGA) that the DAS Group recently acquired, but wanted DAS to become a full insurer member.

The MGAA currently has 62 full members underwriting in excess of £2.5 billion of GWP.

Lyndon Willshire, head of sales, DAS UK Group commented:  “MGAs are an important distribution channel for us so we wanted to show our support and commitment to the sector by becoming an Insurer Member.”

Darren Weekes, broker sales manager at DAS, added: “We look forward to working with the MGAA and their members. Through the relationships we have with some of the members we see what value Legal Expenses Insurance can bring and we will now look to offer our BTE and ATE products to other members.”
