A new Cambridge office is the latest addition to the growing nationwide network of Burcher Jennings, the leading provider of costs, pricing and funding expertise to the legal sector.
The new office will enable law firms across East Anglia to easily access Burcher Jennings’ innovative and uniquely integrated approach to costs, pricing and funding – all essential services to help firms maintain and increase profitability at a time when funding pressures in the legal sector are leaving many established law firms struggling to survive.
The Cambridge office will be led by senior costs lawyer Richard Allen, who brings more than three decades of experience as a both a practicing personal injury lawyer and as head of costs in a top 50 law firm. Richard Allen said:
“This is an exciting time to be part of the team at Burcher Jennings with the national profile of the firm expanding so quickly, both in terms of reputation and locations. I look forward to bringing the firm’s unique approach to costs, pricing and funding to law firms in Cambridgeshire and the wider East Anglia region, and working with them to boost both their service to clients and their profitability.”
This latest office launch is part of a period of national growth for Burcher Jennings, with the addition of new locations in the Midlands and expansion of offices in the north. The firm now has the largest concentration of costs lawyers in the country and continues to expand. Following the opening of the Cambridge office, Burcher Jennings will be launching a new Birmingham office in October.
Martyn Jennings, CEO at Burcher Jennings, said:
“Exceptional legal talent and business acumen don’t always go hand in hand – but in today’s legal sector funding climate, great lawyers can’t afford to neglect the business side of their firms. Burcher Jennings has helped practices all over the country to create a new competitive edge by taking a holistic approach to the key elements of how they charge for their services, manage costs and fund growth. East Anglia is a part of the UK that we have been looking to venture into for some time and the addition of the Cambridge office to the Burcher Jennings network will allow us to serve the region’s legal sector better than ever before.”
