ARAG gears up for tax fee protection drive

Talbot: springboard to achieve growth projection

Legal expenses insurer ARAG, a Litigation Futures Associate, is targeting growth in the fee protection insurance market after entering into a partnership with Jim Hoyle, formerly of HLI Insurance Brokers (part of the CCV/Towergate Group).

Mr Hoyle, a former chartered accountant, has been tasked with promoting ARAG’s ‘Total Fee Protection’ product to accountants.

Head of sales Andy Talbot said: “With the number of HM Revenue & Customs and tax investigations climbing each year, it is more important than ever for individuals and businesses to secure this insurance cover so that they are protected against the costs involved in such investigations.

“With Jim’s unique understanding of the accountancy market, he will provide ARAG with the springboard to achieve our growth projection.”

Total Fee Protection provides up to £100,000 to pay for professional fees that arise from HMRC full and aspect enquiries, VAT disputes and employer compliance disputes as well as providing access to Commercial Legal Services Online and the legal advice line.
