The lower limit for claims heard by specialist judges at the Rolls Building through a new ‘financial list’ should be £10m rather than the £50m proposed, the City of London Law Society has suggested, in response to the judiciary’s consultation.

City solicitors have joined outspoken criticism of government proposals to make commercial deals with rogue states unenforceable in UK courts, arguing it will simply move overseas disputes to courts other than in London.
