Rule committee launches consultation on debt protocol after complaints from creditors

Draft protocols for expanded RTA and new EL/PL portals herald end to ‘£400 Club’
Wednesday, 24 October 2012An end to the ‘£400 Club’ of claimant solicitors who play the RTA portal is in sight after the Master of the Rolls revealed a draft amended pre-action protocol, as well as draft protocols for employers’ liability and public liability claims.

Jackson to dominate CJC work over next year, with QOCS advice imminent
Monday, 9 July 2012Implementation of the Jackson reforms is set to dominate the work of the Civil Justice Council in the coming year, its newly published 2012/13 business plan has shown. Its advice to the government on QOCS should be made public this week or next.
